Your Guide to the Perfect Airport Fit

Whether it’s a two hour flight or a ten hour flight, your airport fit is crucial to your travel experience, and I mean crucial. So I am here to help breakdown the art of the airport fit, and by break down I basically mean convince you to buy a thousand sweatsuits.

No one wants to be uncomfortable when they’re traveling, obviously. I am a major advocate for prioritizing comfort over anything, but who says you have to sacrifice the stylish aspect? That is where the sweatsuit phenomenon comes in, specifically matching sweatsuits. Nothing says you got your life together more than a matching sweatshirt and sweatpants combo, and anyone who disagrees clearly hasn’t seen Hailey Bieber’s iconic airport looks. Anyways, here are a few brands that can help you travel in ultimate style (and comfort).

Boohoo

The British online fashion retailer, Boohoo, offers matching sweatsuits in a variety of colors. I actually bought myself a green set (so I could live out my Gumby fantasy), and man is it comfy. The material is also very thick so you do not have to deal with the hassle of walking around with a heavy coat in the airport.

Aritzia (The Super Fleece™)

Aritzia has this powerful chokehold on us with their superior basics and the Melina Pant, but their most underrated pieces are found in their Super World collection. You’ve heard of the Super Puff, but have you heard of the Super Fleece? The Super Fleece line consists of crewnecks, hoodies, zip-ups and sweatpants (literally the whole shebang). Not only do the pieces come in an array of colors, but the sweatpants also come in different lengths: regular and tall. The collection ranges from $70-$90, but Aritzia is known for their amazing quality so you will absolutely get your money’s worth.

Old Navy

Now hear me out. I know Old Navy may not be everyone’s first choice, but if you are looking for a cheap and affordable option then Old Navy is the one for you, with the hoodies and sweatpants selling for around $35 each. The pieces are on the thinner side, so you do not have to worry about profusely sweating in the sometimes very hot airports (I’m looking at you Cleveland Hopkins). I am also a major sucker for unisex garments, and all of the sweatsuits are gender-neutral. Of course I chose the image of the brown set, but there are an abundance of vibrant colors for you to choose from.

Zara

I know Zara’s website was created by the devil himself, but once you figure out how to navigate your way around the site you will find yourself drooling over their matching sweatshirts and joggers. Surprisingly the pieces are even cheaper than Old Navy’s sets, so brownie points go to Zara ($25.90 for sweatshirts; $29.90 for sweatpants). With the premium quality and low price, it almost seems too good to be true. You will be strutting through the airport with your matching set knowing you didn’t have to break the bank to look as cool and chic as you are.

Talentless

Talentless is definitely on the pricier side (ranging from $79-$129), but the company’s name itself makes me want to throw all my money at them. I think that labeling yourself talentless while knowing you are not is simply genius. Props to Scott Disick for making people want to call themselves talentless. Where are my Lord Disick fans at? The matching sets come in pitch black, steel gray, white and bone and go up to a size XXL. The hoodie is also perfect for making a statement because the bold Talentless logo is featured on the back. Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go find this male model’s Instagram.

Honorable Mention: Finesse Studios

I was halfway through writing about Finesse Studios when I found out that all of their sweatsuits were sold out (devastating I know). So enjoy this picture of my friend Luca in the airport wearing her super cute matching set that she was able to get before they quite literally went extinct on the website.
